Gratitude as I reflect on my first year at CA

By Angie Crabtree
Dear Lower School Families,

At this time last year, I was packing boxes in Knoxville, Tennessee and preparing for our cross-country road trip to Colorado. I was excited and somewhat anxious about what would transpire within the next year and in my new school environment.

As I reflect on my first year at Colorado Academy, I feel a deep sense of pride for our students, an enormous amount of gratitude for our parents, grandparents, and family members, and an overwhelming feeling of love for my Lower School faculty and staff family. The parent community has been a source of courage and comfort for me and for the Lower School this year.

You have enriched our lives in the Lower School. You have:
  • worked in our classrooms,
  • planned special events,
  • celebrated Homecoming with us,
  • cheered for us during the Halloween Parade,
  • supported the Book Fair,
  • attended SPEAK events,
  • joined us on field trips,
  • dined and danced at Taste of CA,
  • graciously provided us with amazing treats during parent/teacher conference days, and
  • added a special spark to our school year.
You are gracious, thoughtful, and dependable. Your time, energy, dedication, and loyalty to the school are greatly appreciated and made our success as a Lower School possible.

With gratitude,
Angie Crabtree
