Lower School Students + Acts of Kindness = Hope for Better Days
Angie Crabtree
Each day I open the Courage.Kindness mailbox and am overwhelmed with the acts of service our CA Lower School students are completing for others. Seeing these amazing actions has given me feelings of hope and inspiration for the days ahead.
Courage and Kindness highlights for this week include:
Gratitude journals
Signs and videos for Grandpa’s birthday
Kindness cards for health care professionals
A letter to grocery store employees
A thank you sign for the mail carrier
A giant Lego beach outside for a grandmother
Sidewalk chalk messages
Picking fruit for the family
A sign for neighbors
Kindness rock deliveries in neighborhoods
Washing Grandpa’s car
Creating an art gallery for others to see outside
Collecting Personal Protection Equipment for health care professionals
Way to go, Lower School! You are difference makers! Keep it up…let’s keep the ripple of joy going!
A special thank you to the Lower School faculty and staff this week! They have stretched themselves in new ways in developing lessons and leading classes virtually. I am so proud of them and thankful for them each day. Thank you for your support and continued feedback as we learn new ways to engage students and to maintain connections with them.
I am meeting with Student Council on Monday for a brainstorming session to develop fun and exciting ideas for us to celebrate as a community. Stay tuned for BIG ideas coming soon!
