Enjoy, Enjoy, Enjoy

Bill Wolf-Tinsman
I’m hopeful that Spring Break gives families a chance to enjoy each other’s company and to refresh.  For me, refreshing includes time with friends and family, as well as a good book. Truth be told, when I am on vacation, I occasionally put down my usual nonfiction selection and pick up some sort of action, suspense thriller...the kind of page turner that does not demand a lot of bandwidth on my part. Whatever way you connect, reflect and recharge is the ticket.

This is also why we make Spring Break a “no homework vacation.” We know that kids are busy and that our homework load adds to the level of demand. I hope, though, that for the next nine days, our kids will enjoy more reading for pleasure, more board games, and more time to chat...maybe even a bit of boredom to really make it a true vacation.

While I have never done this before, I know that in the coming weeks parents will have a chance to vote on a variety of terrific Parent Association gifts for the school. This is a fantastic thing that the PA does for all of us. Having seen the list, there is really no way to go wrong with your vote. My plug for the MS, though, is to help us bring Aguil, a student from South Sudan, to Colorado Academy next year. Rather than a “thing,” we are hoping that you will help us celebrate Aguil’s graduation from High School. Having our kids have the chance to meet her would be very exciting, as our students have been supporting her school journey since she was a little girl. Her story is quite amazing. I wish everyone a safe and healthy break.  If I can be helpful in any way, please do not hesitate to contact me.
