Dear Lower School families,

 

The Lower School enjoyed our time together on Wednesday for the November Town Meeting. November 13 was World Kindness Day, and we explored how we can all be a part of the Kind Kids Club. Ask your child about the Kind Kids Club video and also the sign that they made this week to share their words to inspire others.

 

For the past six years, the Lower School has hosted a STEAM night that focused on students and their parents participating in a workshop based on science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. As the faculty and I developed strategic goals for this year, we decided to reframe this event to be more inclusive of a variety of topics. STEAM night will be rebranded as Family Fun Night in the Lower School.

 

It is scheduled for Thursday, January 23, 2020, 5-7 p.m. Currently, we have 16 sessions available that provide opportunities for a broad range of interests for families. The menu of items will be available and sent home with students on Friday, December 6. The online sign-up will be available on Tuesday, December 10. You will be able to sign up for one session or two--whatever works best for your family.

 

Lost and Found will be cleaned out on Friday, November 22. I have asked the students to look through any items that may belong to them before clean-out day.

 

I am truly enjoying being a part of the Lower School community and have felt so welcomed at CA. I encourage you to email, call, or stop by at any time to provide me with feedback or if you have questions about the Lower School. I truly value my partnership with parents and appreciate your perspective.
