Upper School Students Participate in the Stock Market Challenge

39 Colorado Academy Upper School students participated in the recent Stock Market Challenge, a stock market simulation where students bought and sold stock in rapid succession, which was hosted this month at the University of Denver. Of the 65 teams representing 40 high schools, one CA team finished eighth and another finished 11th.

The team that finished eighth was made up of sophomores Audrey Groves; Isabelle Chandler; Olivia Allen; Alexandra Bestick; Amelia Lochhead; Nellie Turnage; Jonah Reeman; Morgan Weeks; Jacqueline Patel; and freshmen Geoffrey Farmar; and Aidan Murphy.

All participants are members of CA’s Investment Club, which is made up of about 50 students and meets on E days in order to research stocks and improve financial literacy.

The club has participated in the Stock Market Challenge for the past 3 years. Read more about the Stock Market Challenge here.
