Getting Ready for Students' Return

Work is underway across campus preparing for the start of Colorado Academy's new school year. Watch for your August 1 on-line Back-to-School packet. Remember that textbooks, supply lists, transportation information, and more are available on the CA website. Click on the CA NOW button in the upper right hand corner of the home page for quick and easy access.

So that you may plan, mark your calendars for these important dates:

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW – Orientation & Back to School Picnic

Pre-K Parents and students are invited to meet teachers and see the classroom. August 25, 4:15 p.m. in the Pre-K Cottage.
K-5 Parents and students are invited to meet teachers and see the classroom. August 25, 4:30 p.m. in the Lower School
Grade 6 Students meet advisors in the Middle School on Monday, August 25 at 4:00 p.m.
Grades 7 & 8 New Student Orientation: New seventh and eighth grade students should meet in the Middle School Atrium at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, August 25. At the end of orientation, you may also take a few minutes to set up your locker.
Grade 9 and any students new to the Upper School. Orientation Monday, August 25 from 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
• Parents may meet their children after the orientation to attend the All-School, Back-to-School Picnic at 5:00 p.m. Please RSVP here.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW – Back to School

The first day of school is Tuesday, August 26, 2014, with a half-day only for Pre-K students.
Classes begin at 8:10 a.m. Dismissal for all grades is 3:30 p.m.
Both early and late buses will begin running on the first day of school, August 26 (bus sign-up forms, routes and schedules are posted on the CA website).
Please ensure that all sports and medical forms, health plans and any necessary medications are submitted in advance to prevent disruptions on the first day of school.
