Careers

Hero

Working at Colorado Academy is a unique and rewarding experience.

Whether they are classroom teachers, maintenance professionals, or administrative staff members, CA’s employees know they work together on campus to create transformative experiences, a sense of belonging, and daily moments of joy for all of our students. At Colorado Academy, we all model what it means to embrace every possibility—to discover, to change, and to connect with others.

Why Teach at CA?

CA teachers have the freedom to do what they do best—teach—as they nurture and engage students’ natural enthusiasm and initiative.

Small class sizes allow teachers to know each student and tailor instruction to both group and individual needs. Teachers’ passion for their subjects provides a framework for student innovation and creativity. Many teachers also coach sports at Middle and Upper School levels, and teachers of most grade levels have the opportunity to lead students in experiential education programs throughout the year.

Enthusiasm & Excellence

CA teachers’ enthusiasm is matched by that of their students, who, quite simply, love their school. New academic discoveries, incredible creative opportunities, spirited athletic competitions, and Interim are just a few of the many experiences that faculty share with students.

Shared Values

Colorado Academy is a place where connections matter—not just between subjects, but between ideas, passions, and people. And everyone lives by the key words of our mission: curious, kind, courageous, and adventurous.

Enriching Environments

Grassy quads, gardens, and trails enhance our 94-acre campus. Top-notch facilities plus a natural pond, outdoor art, and views of the Rocky Mountains provide a beautiful environment for teaching and learning. Colorado's recreational opportunities are legendary, and Denver has all a big city should.

Professional Collaboration

Our thriving community offers an environment of engagement, support, diversity, mentorship, and collegiality. Colleagueship and collaboration are resources for newcomers and veterans alike, inspiring innovation and the relentless pursuit of excellent teaching.

Faculty Advancement & Awards

A faculty advancement program provides structure for teacher evaluation and honors teacher longevity, experience, and accomplishments. The Yoeman Fisher Award (selected by peers), Frances Newton, Connie Adcock, and other merit awards are presented each spring to teachers who demonstrate teaching excellence and innovation.

NON-DISCRIMINATION POLICY

Colorado Academy does not discriminate or allow unlawful harassment in any of its programs, procedures or practices on the basis of age, color, disability, national or ethnic origin, ancestry, political affiliation, race, religion or creed, gender, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, and related medical conditions), sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, military service, marital status, or other protected classifications defined by applicable law. The policy applies in all aspects of employment with the Academy.
