You Make it Possible

I am looking forward to our event this weekend to benefit both Financial Aid and Horizons at CA. While the biennial auction, and in alternating years, our CA concerts, are terrific and enjoyable community-building events, they are also incredible celebrations of our ability as a school to support one another -- not just because it is the right thing to do, but also because it makes us better as a community.
In the coming year, we will be able to offer more than $3.3 million to some 180 children, or approximately 19% of our students. You help to make an exceptional education possible for highly qualified and deserving students whose only limitation is being in need of financial assistance. This year, we have combined the auction with our annual Wine & Dine event to also benefit the Horizons Program at Colorado Academy. We are so proud to be marking the 20th year of Horizons at CA and to have celebrating with us on Saturday some of the earliest advocates of that program.

We hear from many of our graduating students and alumni about what a difference this kind of support makes. We received a letter from a student just this week who writes, the gift of your assistance “has allowed me to focus solely on being my best ... That is to say, (you) believed in me even before I could believe in myself.”
What you make possible through your support for the auction allows a diversity of experience that otherwise would not be possible, and you help students who, without exception, have the will to succeed, the resilience to persevere, and the desire to make a difference in the world. To each of you, thank you for your support for CA.
