CA Alum Selected for National Lax Team
Congratulations to CA 2006 alumna Devon Wills, who has been named to the 15-player U.S. Women’s National Lacrosse Team that will compete in the 2017 World Games, hosted by the International World Games Association (IWGA) on July 26-30 in Wroclaw, Poland. Wills is a lacrosse goalie. The 2017 World Games, an IOC-regulated event that promotes non-Olympic sports, marks the first time lacrosse has participated.

Sportswomen of Colorado
Also a goalie, CA’s Bridget Sutter will be honored this month at the March 12, 2017 event of the Sportswomen of Colorado Board of Directors as she receives the Lacrosse – High School Award for her outstanding achievements in high school lacrosse.

Field Hockey National Academic Squad
Six CA Field Hockey players have been honored as part of the National Academic Squad by the Keith Waldman - Optimal Performance Associates/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA). The National Academic Squad program recognizes those high school seniors and juniors who have achieved a minimum cumulative, unweighted GPA of 3.5 out of 4.0 or the equivalent through the first quarter of the 2016-17 school year. There were a total of 2,522 honorees on this year’s squad coming from 328 schools.

Seniors and juniors who have achieved a minimum cumulative, unweighted GPA of 3.9 out of 4.0 or the equivalent through the first quarter of the 2016-17 school year have been recognized as Scholars of Distinction. A total of 714 students received the Scholar of Distinction designation. CA’s honorees include: Isabel Chandler, Eliza Davis, Andrea Gonzalez, Nellie Turnage, Ann-Claire Lin (Scholar of Distinction), Jill Murphy, Sophia Schlager (Scholar of Distinction), and Sydney Turner

Field Hockey All-Region Team
CA Field Hockey player Nellie Turnage has been selected to the 2016 Max Preps West/Mid West All-Region Team, the only player from Colorado. Among her other 2016 accolades are the Harrow/NFHCA West All-Region honor, First Team All-State, First Team All-League, and MAX Field Hockey Preseason Player to Watch.
