CA Climbing Team Racks Up Wins at Regionals; Heads to State

Congratulations to the Colorado Academy students who secured titles at the Regional Climbing Competition and moved on to the State Finals in Grand Junction. 

 

Sophomore Alena Holbert took the individual girls title, and the CA girls’ team came in First Place. Senior Eric Masinter took Third Place in the boys division and the boys team came in Second Place overall

 

Other climbers who placed at the competition including senior Anna Gaw who finished Fourth Place, and junior Ady Richards who finished in Sixth Place. Junior Mason Smith finished in Fifth Place; senior Arthur Wright finished Sixth, and freshman Sebastian Parra finished Seventh.

 

Says head climbing coach Forbes Cone, “I am very proud of the effort from our team ... This is a great group of students, and I've been impressed by their improvement over the past three months. Thanks to our coaching staff and to the focus that the students bring to their training every day.”
