Continuations: Kindergarten, Fifth, and Eighth Grade
With hugs, cheers, and tears, Colorado Academy marks many milestones every spring, as Kindergartners celebrate their move into Grade One in the Lower School, Fifth Graders move up to Middle School, and students from Eighth Grade are making plans for new challenges in high school.
Colorado Academy Kindergartners each May gather in front of mothers, fathers, grandmothers, grandfathers, and friends to celebrate the end of one year and the beginning of new adventures at CA.
During their official Continuation to Middle School, Fifth Graders hear a special individual tribute from their teachers which recognizes their unique gifts and talents.
Eighth Graders are celebrated as they make their leap to high school, with each member of the class being called out for their accomplishments. The teacher who writes and delivers the remarks for each student is always a surprise, and it can be any one of their teachers from Sixth Grade on.
