Giant Relay Day
One of its longest running, most-loved traditions, Colorado Academy’s Giant Relay Day captures the spirit of CA each May.
Always a highlight of the year, Giant Relay Day includes a Field Day for CA Lower School, carnival activities for children of all ages, a picnic lunch, and the always-popular highly competitive Giant Relay Race, pitting Seniors against Faculty, Parents, and Alumni teams on a wild race around campus—featuring running, biking, kayaking, swimming, 3-legged race, and more. A Field Day favorite is the race between the Kindergarten class and the Head of School. Many alumni gather, as well, as Giant Relay Day marks the beginning event of milestone class reunions.
