Lower School Music
Our goal with Lower School students is to watch them develop into joyful creators of their own music and movement.
- Students sing, dance, and play classroom instruments, improvising in drum and xylophone ensembles as they learn to read music.
- All Pre-K through Grade 5 musicians are featured in grade-level performances throughout the year.
- All First Graders receive group piano lessons as part of their school day.
- By Grade Five, students can sing multi-part compositions, master complicated rhythms, and perform folk dances from around the world.
- Lower School students can begin lessons on an instrument.
- Fourth and Fifth Grade students who love to sing can participate in a choir, which performs at multiple events during the school year
