"Escape to the Islands" Auction and Soirée
The Colorado Academy Auction is a biennial event that brings the Colorado Academy community together to support CA's Financial Aid Endowment. In a special addition this year, the auction also will celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Horizons Program at CA.
For the 2016-2017 school year, CA awarded $3.1 million dollars in financial aid, making it the leader among independent schools in Colorado. More than 18% of the student population at CA is receiving need-based financial aid, allowing students the opportunity to attend CA regardless of their family’s economic situation.
With these two transformative programs in mind, we invite you lend your support:
Horizons is a six-week summer and weekend enrichment program for more than 140 Denver Public School students living at or below the poverty line. In the past two decades, the CA affiliate of Horizons has been able to increase the number of children served ten-fold from its first class of 13 children in 1998. Horizons students, ranging in age from Pre-K through high school, become part of a program designed to nurture the development of the whole child, enhance self-esteem, foster responsibility, build problem-solving skills, and encourage a life-long interest in learning.
- Join us at the event on May 6, 2017. Watch for ticket sales on this website.
- Advertise in this year’s Escape to the Islands Auction catalog.
- Donate an auction item or help with your sponsorship of the Escape to the Islands Auction and Soirée.
Your participation will give you the opportunity to reach more than 600 people dedicated to both education and philanthropy, and most importantly, your support will help the community of students at Colorado Academy and the children of the Horizons program.
We hope to see you at this festive event to be held on CA's campus. Your generosity will change children's lives.
