The traditional Upper School Hut trip is back again for 2023! Come join us for three days up at Colorado Mountain School’s Adventure Basecamp Yurt at Seven Utes in Cameron Pass, Colo. The group will take a microbus up to Cameron Pass, located in State Forest State Park (SFSP) accessible by driving roughly 145 miles from CA. Seven Utes Yurt is located at an elevation of 9400’ next to the Michigan River and is a luxury dwelling with a full kitchen, 360-degree views, wood burning stove, and plenty of room to warm up and recharge after skiing (

Students are responsible for bringing their own backcountry ski set-up (skis, boots, and skins). Bring your own snowshoes or reach out to borrow from CA’s limited supply. Food is provided.
