There are a million fun things to do outside when you’re a kid. Maybe more. But where do you start? How about a list of 100 things every kid absolutely has to do before they’re 12. At least that’s what kids tell us. And don’t worry, if you run out, we’ll come up with more.
Students have until November 20th to complete the list of challenges below, and everyone who finishes will win a prize from Generation Wild. We love seeing photos and videos of students completing the challenges, so please email pictures to forbes.cone@coloradoacademy.org or upload photos to Google Drive.
October Challenges:
18: Explore a state park (or a park close to your home)
8: See what's hiding under a rock
21: Jump into a pile of leaves
61. Hear an elk bugle in the wild (or check it out online!)
81. Get your own pumpkin from a pumpkin patch (if you can’t get a pumpkin, draw one!)
97: Ride a stick horse around your yard while yelling 'yeehaw'
74. Have a wheelbarrow race (you can use a real wheelbarrow or you can hold someone’s legs in the air while they walk along the ground!)
