Health Office

The health team at Colorado Academy ensures a healthy and inclusive learning environment for students, faculty, and staff.

The health team is committed to helping students be at their best for academic learning, as well as supporting them in learning about their bodies and the best ways to care for themselves.

In the best interest of your child’s health and safety, CA has both a full-time registered nurse and health assistant on campus. The registered nurse also serves as the child care health consultant for the CA campus, helping to promote healthy habits and safe environments for childcare and preschool.

The team is easily available to respond to the individual health needs of students, perform selected health care responsibilities, and provide assistance in the assessment, development, and evaluation of campus health services.

The health team cares for all children on the CA campus; from childcare and Pre-K, to each of the academic divisions. There are primary health offices located in the Lower and Middle School buildings. All staff and faculty at CA are fully trained and certified in CPR, First Aid, and emergency medication administration.

For mental health and counseling information, please visit the Student Support page.

A Healthy School

At CA, we emphasize balanced nutrition, daily physical activity, and stress management as ways students can set themselves up for future success. We recognize that all individuals approach the concept of health differently, and we strive to provide a safe and accepting environment for students to navigate their individual health needs.
