REDI Lab

The REDI Lab Scholar is a formal academic distinction awarded to students who have demonstrated advanced proficiency in interdisciplinary problem-solving and entrepreneurial leadership.

To qualify, candidates must successfully navigate a rigorous sequence consisting of REDI Lab 1 & 2 and either two trimesters of business or entrepreneurship electives, or one trimester of business or entrepreneurship and completion of the 100-hour CA Service Distinction, ensuring a robust theoretical and practical framework.

The culmination of this pathway is a public defense or presentation where students justify their research and design choices of a novel solution—in the REDI Lab Comp course, a REDI Lab presentation, or a formal client-facing exhibition.

This distinction certifies that the recipient has moved beyond classroom simulation to engage in substantive urban research and professional client relations, proving their ability to apply academic inquiry to complex, real-world challenges. Consequently, the REDI Lab Scholar endorsement serves as verification of a student's readiness for high-level professional environments and complex civic engagement.
