Culture & Community

Culture & Community Collaborative

The Culture & Community Collaborative is a group of committees representing the Lower, Middle, and Upper School faculty and staff.

Collectively, these divisional committees support the Pre-K-12 vision to develop and facilitate community programming rooted in promoting equity, belonging, and civil discourse at CA.

These committees are led by members of the Culture & Community Leadership Team (CCLT) who work with their divisional committees to:

  1. develop strategies for supporting all students;
  2. support teachers in developing age-appropriate programming and curricula that are reflective of the diversity of our community; and
  3. help in the recruitment and retention of highly talented faculty and staff members and students from diverse backgrounds.

Vision Statement

The CA Culture & Community Leadership Team strives to empower and support each member of our community in fostering a meaningful sense of belonging that values multiple voices and perspectives.

Additionally, the CCLT has two Community Outreach Coordinators who work closely with both CA parents and the three divisional committees. They schedule a variety of Culture & Community events throughout the school year, thus allowing for connection and collaboration amongst families from diverse backgrounds.

The CCLT partners with Consultant Meredith Herrera and Assistant Head of School Amy Wintermeyer to work through short- and long-term goals, focusing on divisional needs, while also operating as a Pre-K-12 team to look at the big picture needs at CA.
