The Colorado Academy Theater Department provides a dynamic and comprehensive training ground for aspiring theater artists. From the foundational skills of scene study and acting techniques to the specialized realms of musical theater, improvisation, and acting for the camera, our curriculum equips students with the versatility and expertise to thrive in today's fast-evolving world.

Beyond performance, we cultivate a deep understanding of the theatrical process through rigorous exploration of technical theater, including stagecraft, lighting design, and sound engineering. This holistic approach empowers students to become well-rounded professionals, fostering creativity, collaboration, and a lifelong passion for the performing arts.

CA Dance

Whether you are brand new to dance or have spent years in the studio, the Colorado Academy Dance Department provides a supportive and inspiring environment where you can nurture your passion and reach your full potential.

CA offers a diverse range of classes, from beginner-friendly introductory courses to offerings more suited for students with prior training (Company).

CA dance classes provide a great way to incorporate movement into the school day. Current offerings include Tap, Broadway, Company, and Vertical Dance—which is performed with ropes and harnesses. No experience is necessary to participate in CA dance, and unlike other electives, students can choose to take Upper School Dance for either art or athletic credit for one trimester a year.
