Tuition
At CA, our tuition is as comprehensive as possible so that each student enjoys a challenging and rewarding experience. Our tuition covers all basic educational expenses, including classroom supplies, field trips, yearbooks, student publications, computer use, lunch, and commencement.

  • For Grades 5-8: Tuition includes the cost of a student iPad; families are responsible for a keyboard and case.
  • For Grades 6-12: Families are responsible for the cost of books/e-books (approximately $150 per year for Middle School; $300 per year for Upper School). Incoming students in Grade 9 are also responsible for bringing a laptop to school, or loaning a laptop from the school if their family receives financial aid; learn more about CA's 1:1 device program for ninth graders.

Financial Aid
Our priority is for all admitted students to have the opportunity to attend CA, regardless of their family's economic situation; please do not let the cost of tuition deter you from considering Colorado Academy.

For the 2023-2024 school year, CA offered over $5 million in financial aid to qualifying families, supporting 190 families in the school. Financial aid is awarded to current and newly admitted students on the basis of demonstrated need, as determined by factors such as income, family size, assets, and liabilitieslearn more. As financial aid is treated as a gift from the school, there are no repayment requirements. Given that circumstances and tuition change each school year, families are required to complete the financial aid process on a yearly basis.

First priority is given to families who submit all of their financial information by the February 15 deadline. Families applying for aid after the deadline are considered for the financial aid waitlist.

Note: If you've already submitted a financial aid application for another school through FACTS, there is no need for you to fill out an additional application through SSS, as long as you add Colorado Academy as a recipient of your FACTS application.
  • 2021 AND 2022 TAX RETURNS / W-2's | Before Feb 15

After January 1, you may upload copies of the following documents to the SSS (School & Student Services) portal using the link below:
    • 2021 tax returns and W-2 / K-1 statements
    • 2022 tax returns and W-2 / K-1 statements
If you will not be able to file your 2022 tax return by February 15, we will still process your financial aid application without the 2022 tax return, as long as we have received a copy of your 2022 W-2 statements, your 2022 Profit & Loss Statements from your business if you are self-employed, and your 2021 tax return by the February 15 deadline. You may submit your 2022 tax return, after February 15, once it is finalized.

  • FINANCIAL AID AWARDS

After the Admission Committee makes decisions, a separate Financial Aid Committee reviews the completed financial aid applications for current and newly admitted students. If families meet the February 15 application deadline, then financial aid awards are offered at the same time as admission decisions.
