Welcome to Middle School Admission!

Dear Prospective Families,

We hope that you and your loved ones are healthy and safe during this unprecedented time. Our Middle School students and teachers have remained fully engaged in learning, creativity, critical thinking, and social growth, and we’d be grateful for the opportunity to introduce you to our school and community.
I look forward to getting to know your family, answering your questions, and assisting you in the admission process. I encourage you to take a “virtual tour”  and browse through the different areas of Colorado Academy's Middle School program below. If you have any initial questions, I invite you to schedule a call or a Zoom meeting with me.

Thank you for your interest in CA Middle School,

Karen Chavez

Student Video Submission (Optional for Applicants to Grades 6-12)

To the applicant:  Please prepare a short video about yourself, and address one of the prompts below. The Admission Committee prefers a video that is less than two minutes. You may include another individual in your video, but be sure to include yourself as well.

Videos can be funny or serious; the goal is to allow your personality to emerge. Thank you, and have fun!
    • Tell us (or show us) how you would contribute to the CA community. Feel free to demonstrate any special talents or skills, or simply use your words.
    • Tell us about something new you would like to try and why.
    • Tell us how someone else—a friend, classmate, sibling, grandparent, cousin, neighbor, or pet—would describe your personality and character, including what they most value about you as a person.
There is an upload feature within the application portal where you may post your video. Please call us at 303-914-2516 with any questions.

Families who cannot meet the full cost of tuition at Colorado Academy should apply for financial aid. Applications for financial aid are considered separately from the admission process and do not influence the admission decision.

Awards are made solely on the basis of need according to the guidelines of the School and Student Service (SSS) for Financial Aid, and the policies and procedures of Colorado Academy. We recommend starting the Financial Aid process after January 1, and completing the process by February 15.  Families applying after the February 15 deadline will be considered for the Financial Aid waitlist.

Middle School decisions for Grades 6-8 were available online at 4:00 p.m. MST on Wednesday, February 26, 2020

Please note: Students applying after the February 26 notification date will be considered for admission from the wait pool if a space becomes available. There can be wait pool movement in the spring or summer, and we encourage you to apply if interested.
