Third Grade Reading Homework

January through May

GENRE READING

PROCEDURE

1.     Choose a new genre to read each month.  The genres are listed below.

2.     Record the page number where you left off each night on the Reading Calendar.  You need to read at least 20 minutes on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday nights.

3.     When you finish your book, write a letter to Hallway Audience about the book you chose.  The format for the Reading Response Letter is described below.

4.     Turn in your letter.  If you turn in your letter before the end of the month, start reading and recording page numbers for another book from any genre.  You do not need to write a Reading Response Letter for a second book.
