Named for donors Barney and Nancy Schotters, construction in 2005 of the music building was a dream come true for the CA music faculty. Forty-seven percent of the student body takes private music lessons on instruments ranging from violin and piano to harp, flute and saxophone. Spacious music studios, a choir room, ensemble room, digital music lab, dance studio, and music classrooms are housed in the specially sound-proofed building. It replaced one of the smallest and oldest campus structures, the Jane Hamilton music building, which was the 1979 transformation of Holoran Hall, the original academic building on campus. |
