Eldorado Hut Trip (Presidents Day Weekend)

The Eldorado Hut is located 5 miles west of Turquoise Lake, near Leadville, CO. The path into the hut winds through aspen forest for the first mile and gradually zigzags up a ridge on the north side of the lake. At the hut, views from the south window include a panorama of 14,421-foot Mount Massive and Bald Eagle Mountain. Only 1 mile from the hut is fun glade skiiing on Mushroom Mountain, and after returning from our tour, we'll fire up the wood burning sauna to finish off a great day in the Colorado backcountry! *This hut is generously donated by David and Arlene Cole.* *backcounty telemark or AT gear is required and can be rented from Bentgate Mountaineering or Wilderness Exchange*
The cost of this trip is $150 Price includes transportation, accomodation, avalanche safety equipment, food and instruction.
