David George Gordon is a trained naturalist and skilled storyteller. He is author of the award-winning The Eat-a-Bug Cookbook and 18 other titles about orcas and gray whales, cockroaches, tarantulas, land snails, and the Sasquatch. In this program that will be part of the Lower School STEAM Family Night, join us for an adventure in bug eating and prepare yourself for the next big revolution in food production— using crickets, mealworms and other eco-friendly alternatives to beef, chicken and pork. You won’t be alone: As the Bug Chef, Gordon has shared his exotic cuisine with visitors to the Smithsonian Institution, Robert Mondavi Institute for Food and Wine Science, San Diego Comic Con, Singapore Food Festival, The Explorers Club, Yale University and Ripley’s Believe It or Not! museums in Hollywood, San Francisco, and Times Square.
