From the time we are born, we confront moral choices. How much is morality shaped by nature, and how much by nurture? NPR science correspondent Shankar Vedantam shows us the research on how we form moral attitudes in early childhood, and why the aging brain sometimes lets us down. We will also explore how and why good people fail to act in ways that are consistent with their values, and how simple biases in perception and judgment can have profound effects on our lives and those of future generations.
