Faculty Facts
The energy of the faculty is contagious and their passion for and commitment to education is unparalleled. At CA, the ultimate goal of faculty and staff is to stimulate students to become excited about and involved with learning.

Experience and Expertise
CA’s faculty and staff—approximately 150 individuals in all—bring a wealth of experience to the classroom. Students are taught by educators who are experts in their respective fields, from accomplished artists and musicians, to masters in foreign language and world history, to PhDs in science.

Our teachers have an average of 17 years of experience and 72% hold graduate degrees. To promote ongoing learning for our faculty, CA has a robust professional development program and encourages teachers to visit their colleagues’ classrooms and collaborate often. We celebrate our teaching staff by presenting awards and grants every spring to deserving teachers who demonstrate teaching excellence, professional development innovation, and technology savvy.

Faculty Advancement
Faculty begin their careers at Colorado Academy as Instructors and move through three levels of advancement to Master Teacher. Instructors have earned, minimally, a B.A. or B.S. degree and successfully completed one year of full-time teaching, or an approved internship in teaching, or a graduate program with a substantial practicum. Descriptions for  advancement levels can be viewed by clicking here. At CA, we celebrate our faculty by giving awards and grants that recognize past accomplishments and encourage growth for future learning experiences.
